More Than 45 Yachts for Charter in Phuket

Our Phuket yacht charter fleet includes more than 45 vessels for private day trips, overnight cruises, diving holidays, corporate events and luxury escapes across Thailand’s Andaman coast.

Choose from sailing and power catamarans by Lagoon, Leopard and Fountaine Pajot, or explore the islands aboard a luxury motor yacht such as the Riva Dolcevita 70. The fleet also includes Maha Bhetra, a classic Thai wooden yacht, as well as dive liveaboards and party boats for events of up to 150 guests.

What You Will Find Aboard

Fit-out varies by yacht, so check the individual listing, but as a rule you can expect:

  • Air-conditioned saloon and cabins on all motor yachts
  • A galley for onboard meals, with a chef available on larger yachts
  • Sound system and, on most yachts, a TV in the saloon
  • Sun deck or flybridge; a jacuzzi on selected yachts
  • Snorkelling gear, kayaks or paddleboards, and a tender for beach landings
  • Life jackets in adult and child sizes, first aid kit and VHF radio

Which Yacht for Which Trip

  • Phi Phi in a day: a motor yacht of 60 feet or more. The crossing is about 45 kilometres each way, so speed matters.
  • Phang Nga Bay: any yacht in the fleet. The bay is sheltered and close to the marina, so smaller boats and the sailing ketch both work well.
  • Families with young children: a catamaran or a wide-beamed motor yacht for stability and deck space.
  • Overnight trips: Major Affair or Sanook for cabins and a chef; Aventure for a slower sailing itinerary.
  • Cross Border: yachts marked Cross Border are cleared for charters beyond Thai waters, such as Langkawi in Malaysia or the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar.

Private Yacht Hire in Phuket

Phuket sits within a day’s cruising of three distinct areas: the limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay to the north east, the Phi Phi group to the south east, and the open-water islands of Racha and Koh Hey to the south. A single charter can cover one of these properly; an overnight trip can link two or three.

  • Captain and crew on every charter
  • Half day, full day, sunset and multi-day options
  • Itineraries built around your group, not a fixed route
  • Office at Royal Phuket Marina if you want to see the boats first

Why Charter with Asia Global Yachting in Phuket

  • Local crews: our captains work these waters year round and know which anchorages are calm on a given day.
  • Clear pricing: the rate you are quoted covers the yacht, crew and fuel for the agreed itinerary. Park fees, catering upgrades and transfers are listed separately so there are no surprises.
  • Fleet on the dock: we are based at Royal Phuket Marina, where most of the yachts are berthed. You can walk down and look before you book.
  • Award winner: Asia Global Yachting was named Asia-Based Charter Company at the Yacht Style Awards 2025.
  • Beyond Phuket: the same team runs charters in Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Myanmar, so a Phuket booking can become a longer Asian itinerary.

Phuket Yacht Charter FAQs

The questions we are asked most often before a booking.

Day charters with Asia Global Yachting start from around USD 1,300 for a 27 to 45-foot day boat or sailing catamaran, run USD 4,000 to 12,000 per day for 60 to 100-foot motor yachts such as the Princess 75 or Sunseeker 90, and start from about USD 20,000 per day for superyachts, with the largest priced by the week. The rate covers the yacht, captain and crew, and fuel for the agreed route. National park fees, chef menus, alcohol and hotel transfers are charged on top. Multi-day charters are priced per day, and rates drop by roughly 15 to 40 percent outside the December to March peak.

More than 45 yachts are available in Phuket: motor yachts from 27 to 100 feet, sailing and power catamarans, a classic ketch and a traditional Thai wooden yacht, dive liveaboards, party boats for up to 150 guests, and superyachts of up to 183 feet. Motor yachts are the usual choice for reaching Phi Phi in a day; catamarans and the classic yachts suit Phang Nga Bay and slower overnight routes. Charters are crewed; ask about bareboat on selected sailing yachts if you hold a licence and can show logged experience.

No. Every charter includes a captain licensed by the Thai Marine Department, so guests need no boating qualification or experience. You are welcome to take the helm under the captain’s supervision if you would like to.

Included: the yacht, captain and crew, fuel for the agreed itinerary, snorkelling gear and water toys, drinking water and soft drinks, and insurance. Extra: national park entry fees (about THB 400 per adult for Phi Phi and THB 500 for the Similans), chef-prepared menus, alcohol, hotel transfers, and a crew gratuity, typically 10 to 15 percent of the charter fee.

From Royal Phuket Marina, Phang Nga Bay is about an hour by motor yacht, the Phi Phi Islands are roughly 45 kilometres and two hours away, and Racha Yai is about an hour south of Chalong. The Similan Islands lie around 90 kilometres to the north west and are done as an overnight charter, not a day trip. Sailing yachts take longer on each leg.

Yes, from June to September charters run on most days, with rates 30 to 40 percent lower than peak season. The captain will steer towards sheltered water, which usually means Phang Nga Bay and the east coast rather than the open Andaman Sea. The Similan Islands are closed to visitors from mid May to mid October.

Most departures are from Royal Phuket Marina at Koh Kaeo on the east coast, which is the closest marina to Phang Nga Bay and Phi Phi. Trips to Racha and Koh Hey often leave from Chalong Bay in the south, and Ao Por Grand Marina is used for the north eastern islands. The exact departure point is confirmed at booking, and hotel transfers can be arranged.

Yes. Sanook, Major Affair and Aventure all have guest cabins with en suite bathrooms and are set up for trips of two nights or more, with a chef aboard. A typical three-night route links Phang Nga Bay, Phi Phi and Racha, or, between October and May, runs north to the Similan Islands.

Yes. Child-sized life jackets are carried on every yacht, and non-swimmers can snorkel from the swim platform in a flotation vest with a crew member alongside. For families we usually recommend a catamaran or a wider motor yacht, and a route through Phang Nga Bay, where the water is calm. Guests must be 18 or over to drink alcohol aboard.

Book by phone, email or the enquiry form. A deposit secures the date and the balance is due before departure, payable by bank transfer or credit card. If weather makes the planned route unsafe, the captain will offer a sheltered alternative or a new date. Guest cancellations follow the terms agreed at booking; the current policy is set out on our yacht charter terms of service page.

Three Sample Phuket Charter Itineraries

Half day: Phang Nga Bay. Leave Royal Phuket Marina mid morning and reach the karsts in about an hour. Kayak through the sea caves at Koh Panak, swim in the lagoon at Koh Hong, pass Koh Tapu (James Bond Island) and return along the Koh Yao coast for sunset.

Full day: Phi Phi Islands. Depart at 8am on a motor yacht for the two-hour crossing. Snorkel at Pileh Lagoon and Viking Cave on Phi Phi Leh, lunch aboard at anchor, then Monkey Beach and Tonsai on Phi Phi Don before heading back. Maya Bay access is regulated and closed for part of the year; the crew will advise.

Three nights: south then north. Night one at Racha Yai for diving and snorkelling, night two at Koh Hey or Nai Harn, night three in the shelter of Phang Nga Bay. Between October and May the same yacht can run north instead for two nights in the Similan Islands.

Where our Phuket charters go

Phuket is the starting point for most yacht charters on Thailand’s Andaman coast. Phang Nga Bay, the Phi Phi Islands and the Racha Islands are within a day’s cruising, the Similan Islands are an overnight trip in season, and Koh Samui and Koh Chang on the Gulf side are reached by repositioning the yacht or joining it there.
