Gili Gede

The largest of the Secret Gilis and the natural hub of Sekotong Bay. Gili Gede has a handful of low-key boutique retreats, traditional Bugis fishing villages, mangrove fringes and quiet anchorages. It’s an ideal overnight stop — calm, sheltered water, beautiful sunsets over the bay, and an authentic island-life atmosphere that the northern Gilis lost years ago.

Gili Nanggu

A tiny, postcard-perfect island ringed by white sand and shallow coral. Gili Nanggu is one of the best snorkelling stops in the bay — the reef begins just metres off the beach and teems with reef fish and small turtles. With no roads and minimal development, it’s a serene spot to anchor for a swim, a paddleboard session and a beach lunch.

Gili Asahan

One of the most beautiful of the Secret Gilis, with a hilly green interior, a couple of barefoot-luxury eco-retreats, and excellent reef snorkelling on its sheltered side. Gili Asahan rewards a sunset hike to its ridge and a slow morning at anchor. It strikes the rare balance of feeling genuinely remote while still offering a comfortable shore lunch or sundowner.

Gili Layar & Gili Rengit

Further into the bay, Gili Layar offers some of the clearest water and best house-reef snorkelling in Sekotong, while Gili Rengit is little more than a sandy speck — a true castaway anchorage. These outer islands see almost no visitors and are perfect for guests who want the bay entirely to themselves.

Dry Season (May to October) — Peak Charter Season

The dry season brings calm seas, gentle south-easterly trade winds, clear skies and the best underwater visibility of the year — often 20–30 metres around the Gilis. This is the prime window for snorkelling the turtle grounds, diving sites like Shark Point and Manta Point, and the easy crossings to the Secret Gilis of Sekotong Bay. It’s also the ideal time for the longer Bali–Lombok–Komodo voyages. Expect peak demand in July, August and over the Christmas–New Year period, so the best yachts should be booked well ahead.

Wet Season (November to April) — Warm & Quiet

The wet season brings warmer water and shorter, heavier afternoon showers that usually clear by evening. Mornings are often bright and calm, making early starts very rewarding. Seas can be livelier on exposed crossings, so itineraries lean toward the sheltered waters around the Gilis and Sekotong Bay. With fewer yachts and quieter anchorages, this is an appealing window for guests who value calm and seclusion over guaranteed flat water.

Day Charter — The Gili Trio

A full day exploring the three famous Gilis. Anchor off Gili Trawangan for a morning snorkel over the turtle grounds, cross to tranquil Gili Meno for a quiet swim and beach time, then finish off Gili Air for sunset drinks on deck. Ideal for first-time charter guests, couples and families wanting a relaxed introduction to the islands.

3-Day Charter — Gilis & Sekotong Bay

A long weekend combining the famous trio with the Secret Gilis. Day one covers Trawangan, Meno and Air. Day two sails south-west into Sekotong Bay for Gili Nanggu snorkelling and an overnight anchorage at Gili Gede. Day three explores Gili Asahan and the outer islands before returning. The best short itinerary for guests who want both the buzz and the solitude.

5 to 7-Day Charter — Lombok in Full

A week-long voyage circling Lombok’s coastline and islands. Combine the Gili trio and the Secret Gilis with Lombok’s south coast — the dramatic bays around Kuta Lombok, surf breaks, and quiet anchorages beneath the foothills of Mount Rinjani. Time for diving, paddleboarding, beach bonfires and shore excursions to waterfalls and traditional Sasak villages.

7-Day Voyage — Bali to Lombok & the Gilis

A classic eastbound route. Begin with two days around Bali’s Nusa Penida and Lembongan, cross the Lombok Strait, and spend the rest of the voyage across the Gili trio, the Secret Gilis and Lombok’s coast.
